Taiwan will roll out a new $2.09 billion venture capital fund, Taiwan Today reports. The new offering will be aimed at generating increased investment in Taiwan’s biotechnology sector. The National Development Fund (NDF) will cover around 40% of the vehicle, while the balance will be put up by private investors. Five biotech groups have shown interest in the fund of which three have submitted operating proposals to the NDF, including Taiwan Medtech.
