Open Prairie Ventures has extended its operation to Kalamazoo, Michigan. The venture capital firm will partner with Southwest Michigan First to bring investment opportunities. The firms have also previously worked together to develop new companies, such as Vestaron. Open Prairie, which provides equity to early-stage agricultural technology and medical device companies throughout the Midwest, closed its second fund with $30 million of capital in September last year.
