London-based adviser to the Red Kite group of funds, RK Capital Management, has appointed metal trader Tim Jones, FINalternatives reports. Jones will head the metals- focused hedge fund, Tamarisk Fund. The Tamarisk fund is set to be launched in the third quarter of 2011. Previously, Jones has held management positions at Metallgesellschaft, where he managed the firm’s Sempra Metals Group Fund.
