Morgan Stanley has unveiled a new opportunistic U.S. focused long/short equity strategy. The MS Ascend Ucits Fund has been launched under the lender’s Ucits Irish Umbrella, FundLogic Alternatives. Ascend Capital has been appointed as the investment manager of the fund. The vehicle will seek to maximize gains and minimize volatility over an extended period of time, while generating alpha on both the long and short side of the portfolio.
