Carlyle Sells The Mills For £119M

Private equity firm, Barclays Private Equity, has acquired a majority stake in a British visual effects company from Carlyle Group.

Private equity firm, Barclays Private Equity, has acquired a majority stake in a British visual effects company from Carlyle Group, The Wall Street Journal reports. The transaction values The Mill at £119 million. The Mill produces digital visual effects for brands such as Nike, Ford Motor and Adidas, and for British television dramas. Carlyle Europe Technology Partners backed a management buyout of The Mill in February 2007.
