Mesirow Financial has appointed Susan Schmidt as managing director and head of its U.S. value equity management group, Pensions & Investments reports. In her new role, Schmidt will work under chairman and CEO, Richard Price.
Schmidt joined Mesirow Financial in 2009 as portfolio manager for the mid cap and smid cap value strategies and soon became a portfolio manager for the small and micro cap value strategies as well. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial, she has also worked at Essex Investment Management and Magnetar Capital, adds Hedge Fund Net.
