Citigroup is planning to add about 200 new branches to expand its retail business, Bloomberg reports. The consumer bank will add about 100 branches in California and New York, and another 100 offices elsewhere in the U.S. by the end of 2013.

Citigroup may also expand into Seattle and Atlanta. The New York-based bank is seeking to target foreign-born customers to help improve its domestic retail bank after profits decreased by 17% in 2010 to $607 million.
