Aksia, a hedge fund specialist consulting firm, has appointed Matthew Mullarkey as a consultant, Pensions & Investments reports. Mullarkey is an investment officer who specializes in hedge funds at the $140.6 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund.
Aksia was consultant for the scheme’s $4 billion hedge fund portfolio, until the firm’s agreement was terminated on March 31, 2011. Albourne Partners had replaced Aksia in the advisory role.
