Royal Dutch Shell has offloaded most of its fuel business in Chile to Quinenco for $614 million.

Royal Dutch Shell has offloaded most of its fuel business in Chile to Quinenco for $614 million, Bloomberg reports. The sale will cover the Hague-based company’s retail, commercial fuels, bitumen and chemicals businesses. Shell is aiming to sell assets worth $5 billion in 2011. Under a separate agreement, Shell has also appointed Quinenco as a distributor to market, sell and distribute its lubricants in Chile and to offer services for its international customers in Chile of marine products, adds Market Watch.
