RBC Capital Markets has appointed Kevin Smith as head of European mergers and acquisitions, Reuters reports. Based in London, he will work with Patrick Meier, head of European investment banking, adds Financial News. Most recently, Smith was global head of oil and gas advisory at Standard Chartered Bank. Formerly, he has served as head of U.K. M&A at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has also worked at Lazard.
