Black Swan Energy Gets $364M Investment

Three private equity firms have agreed to invest $364.08 million in Black Swan Energy.

Three private equity firms have agreed to invest $364.08 million in Black Swan Energy. Warburg Pincus, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and KERN Partners will make the investment in the Canadian oil and gas exploration company. CPPIB will invest around $104.05 million in the Calgary-based company, while the remaining investment would be divided among the two other partners. Black Swan Energy is led by former Talisman Energy executives, David Maddison and Marc Mereau.
