AlpInvest Buys $800M CalPERS PE Stakes

AlpInvest Partners has bought an $800 million portfolio of private equity fund interests from the California Public Employees’ Retirement System.

AlpInvest Partners has bought an $800 million portfolio of private equity fund interests from the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), AltAssets reports. The Dutch fund has acquired stakes in the KKR 2006 Fund, the Carlyle Partners V and the Providence Equity Partners VI.

The firm has also acquired stakes in Silver Lake Partners III, Apollo Investment Fund VI and Apollo Investment Fund VII. Carlyle acquired Amsterdam-based AlpInvest from Dutch pension funds, APG and PGGM in January this year.
