Citadel Investment Group has appointed two executives to roll out its new quantitative-trading group, Bloomberg reports. The firm has hired Jamil Nazarali and Matt Cushman to work with its existing equities, currency and high-frequency trading teams. In the new role, the duo will be reporting directly to the founder of Citadel, Kenneth Griffin. Prior to this, Nazarali was senior managing director in charge of electronic trading team at Knight Capital Group, while Cushman was managing director in the same group.
