Japanese pension funds are looking to boost their investments in alternative assets, according to a survey.

Japanese pension funds are looking to boost their investments in alternative assets, according to a survey, Global Pensions reports. As per the survey, around 32% of 119 Japanese pension funds are aiming to increase investments in hedge funds and in emerging market stocks and bonds.

The survey was conducted by JP Morgan Chase’s Tokyo-based asset management unit. The pensions are planning to lower their allocation to domestic bonds and stocks, but continue investing in emerging-market stocks and bonds.
