Level 3 Pays $1.9B For Global Crossing

Level 3 Communications will acquire rival networking company, Global Crossing.

Level 3 Communications will acquire rival networking company, Global Crossing, The Wall Street Journal reports. The Colorado-based Internet provider will pay around $1.9 billion for the acquisition. Level 3 will assume about $1.1 billion in debt and has secured $1.7 billion in financing. Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley advised Level 3 on the deal, adds Financial Times.
