3i Appoints New Brazilian Office Head

Private equity specialist, 3i Group, has named Marcelo Di Lorenzo as head of its newly set up Brazilian office.

Private equity specialist, 3i Group, has named Marcelo Di Lorenzo as head of its newly set up Brazilian office, The Wall Street Journal reports. Formerly, he was working with Standard Bank. In addition to Di Lorenzo, the Brazilian team consists of three other former Standard Bank private equity executives. Edward Hanmer, Felipe Vivacqua and Carlos Lopes are all based in São Paulo. 3i will invest between $30 million and $100 million in local businesses with an enterprise value of up to $200 million, focusing the consumer and business services sectors.
