Wisconsin Starts Asset Allocation Study

State of Wisconsin Investment Board has launched an asset allocation study.

State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) has launched an asset allocation study, Pensions & Investments reports. The study is likely to lower the expected investment return assumption from 7.8% to 7.2%.

The fund currently has a 55% allocation to equities, 26% to fixed income, 6% each to real estate and private equity, 3% each to Treasury inflation-protected securities and a multi-asset portfolio, and 1% to strategic active risk. The board’s investment consultant, Strategic Investment Solutions, will present the study to the board.
