Vanguard Group may begin selling ETFs in Europe this year.

Vanguard Group may begin selling ETFs in Europe this year, Bloomberg reports. The Pennsylvania-based mutual-fund company will initially target U.K. financial advisers when it launches a number of broad-index ETFs registered in Dublin. The ETFs will be made available to investors across Europe by Dec. 31, 2011. Vanguard expects two planned rule changes to boost ETF providers, particularly those focusing on individual clients. In Europe, the ETF market is dominated by BlackRock, with $108 billion, or 33% share.
