Two Republican lawmakers have called for an investigation into the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s analysis of the costs of implementing the Dodd-Frank Act. Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.), chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, and Rep. K. Michael Conaway (R-Texas) stated in a letter to A. Roy Lavik, the CFTC’s inspector general, that the agency has adopted a “vague and minimalist approach to cost-benefit analysis.”
