San Diego Names Alts Investment Officer

The $5.2 billion San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System has appointed Corey Buuhoan as senior investment officer.

The $5.2 billion San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System has appointed Corey Buuhoan as senior investment officer, Pensions & Investments reports. He will be in charge of alternative investments, including private equity and infrastructure. Buuhoan, who was assistant investment officer at the system, will also keep his former duties. Separately, the system has reported 15.6% investment gains in 2010. The results were disclosed by a report from general investment consultant, Hewitt EnnisKnupp.
