Pennsylvania-based energy company, CONSOL Energy,has raised $250 million in a sale of senior notes. The bonds, which carry a coupon rate 6.375%, will mature in 2021.
The company seeks to use the net proceeds to repay its outstanding 7.875% senior secured notes due March 1, 2012 and for general corporate purposes. The securities will be guaranteed by substantially all of CONSOL’s existing and future wholly owned domestic restricted subsidiaries.
