Strömsund’s local authority is planning to launch a pension foundation, IPE reports. The foundation is expected to take the $68.3 million pensions liabilities off the authority’s balance sheet. Some liabilities have been insured, but about $10.5 million will be deposited in the foundation. The final size of the foundation has not yet been determined, but the local authority is seeking to allocate about $3.9 million each year to it.
