PennSERS Puts $55M In Three Alt Funds

The Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System has committed a total of $55 million to three portfolios.

The Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System has committed a total of $55 million to three portfolios, Pensions & Investments reports. The Harrisburg retirement system has invested $15 million in a real estate fund, BPG Investment Partnership IX and $30 million in a private equity fund, ABRY Partners VII. PennSERS has also committed to $10 million to a real estate fund, Guggenheim Technology Ventures II. Separately, the $25.5 billion system has also reported a 2010 return of 11.9%.
