CIBC World Markets has hired Mark Downing from Citigroup to its interest rate derivatives trading team in Toronto, The Wall Street Journal reports. Downing will manage the CIBC unit’s Canadian and U.S. dollar swap and option books. The firm has also hired Andy Yeoh in Hong Kong to focus on the interest rates and swap and foreign-exchange forwards business. Yeoh was earlier working with VTB Bank in Singapore.
