L&G, Cofunds Terminate Exclusive Deal

Legal & General has ended its exclusivity contract with Cofunds.

Legal & General (L&G) has ended its exclusivity contract with Cofunds, Financial Times reports. L&G, which owns a 25% stake in the fund platform, has held an exclusive distribution arrangement with Cofunds for its bond and pension wrappers since 2005. In February, L&G decided to end the agreement to improve choice ahead of a retail distribution review, said Mark Gregory, executive director at L&G, adds Fund Web. The firm may consider launching its own IFA platform now.
