Chicago To Offer $1B In Muni Bonds

Chicago will issue $1 billion in municipal-bonds to fund the expansion of the O’Hare International Airport.

Chicago will issue $1 billion in municipal-bonds to fund the expansion of the O’Hare International Airport, The Wall Street Journal reports. The bonds are expected to be sold in the week of April 18, 2011.

Citigroup has been appointed to lead the underwriters on the deal, while Siebert Brandford Shank & Company will act as the co-senior manager. Chicago is also planning to offer about $51 million of airport passenger facility charge revenue refunding bonds, adds Reuters.
