EU Raises €4.6B In Bond Sale

The European Union has raised €4.6 billion in a sale of bonds.

The European Union (EU) has raised €4.6 billion in a sale of bonds, The Wall Street Journal reports. The funds were raised to support a financial package for Ireland and Romania. The joint-lead managers of the deal were Barclays Capital, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas and UniCredit. The EU’s second benchmark bonds of the year are due to mature in 2018.
