U.S. To Nominate Wetjen To CFTC

The U.S. government will nominate Mark Wetjen to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

The U.S. government will nominate Mark Wetjen to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Financial Times reports. If appointed, he will replace Democratic commissioner on the futures regulator, Michael Dunn, who is retiring. Wetjen, who joined U.S. Senate majority leader, Harry Reid’s office in 2005, is gong through background checks by the White House. The position requires confirmation from the Senate.
