The global ETF industry had assets of $1.36 trillion from 140 providers on 48 exchanges around the world, according to a BlackRock report, ETF Express reports. At the end of February 2010, the global market had assets of $1.001 trillion from 115 providers on 40 exchanges. The ETF industry in the U.S. had 919 ETFs and assets of $929.1 billion, while the European sector had assets of $299.1 billion from 40 providers on 23 exchanges. The Asia Pacific, ex-Japan ETF industry had 217 ETFs with 324 listings and assets of $54.0 billion from 62 providers on 13 exchanges.
