NASDAQ OMX is looking to list its index in India for futures trading, Financial Chronicle reports. CME group is leading the initiative with the National Stock Exchange for listing NASDAQ’s indices for Indian investors, said Robert Hughes, managing director-index services, Global Index Group, NASDAQ.
NASDAQ futures along with S&P500 futures are the most actively-traded instrument on CME. The Securities and Exchange Board of India has approved the launch of equity derivatives based on large indices of 24 global exchanges, including CME.
