BC Partners is close to raising $4.15 billion for its latest buyout fund, Reuters reports. The U.K. private equity firm is likely to hold a first close on its ninth buyout fund next week, after which it can start investing the money it has raised. The London-based firm will hold a second close in June and a final close on the fund by the year end. BC Partners is aiming to raise a total of around $8.17 billion for the fund. The firm has employed a European-style carry structure, in which general partners receive carried interest only if the entire fund reaches a predetermined profit threshold for its latest offering, adds Financial News.
