Barclays Capital has appointed Steven Halperin as head of the EMEA convertibles origination team, Financial News reports. He will be reporting to Simon Ollerenshaw, who will head a newly-combined EMEA equity-linked team. Halperin is a managing director in the firm’s Americas equity-linked and hybrid solutions business. Additionally, Nick Smith, director in the EMEA convertible origination team, is moving to Hong Kong to head convertible origination in Asia Pacific.
