Blackstone Group has named Chinh Chu as head of its technology practice in New York, Bloomberg reports. In his new role, he will succeed Paul Schorr, who now serves as an adviser at the private equity firm.
Chu will work with John Hodge, a senior managing director who heads Blackstone’s technology practice in Menlo Park, California. Chu, who joined Blackstone in 1990, led the firm’s investments in Stiefel Laboratories, Biomet, Catalent Pharma Solutions and SunGard Data Systems.
