ESMA Nominates FSA Director For CEO

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has nominated Verena Ross for the position of executive director or CEO.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has nominated Verena Ross for the position of executive director or CEO. The new director, who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Paris-based ESMA, will serve a term of five years that will be renewable once.Ross is currently working as director of the international division at the U.K. Financial Services Authority (FSA). She is also a member of the FSA’s executive and the executive policy and risk committees. Ross has also worked with Bank of England as an economist.
