Barclays Capital has appointed Adrian Valenzuela as managing director and equities liquid markets distribution head of Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for the distribution teams covering all modes of equity execution in the region, across cash, programs, and electronic, as well as convertibles and equity flow derivatives. Based in Hong Kong, Valenzuela will report to head of equities distribution, Richard Cunningham, head of distribution of Asia Pacific, Philippe Asmar and head of equities of EMEA & Asia Pacific, Siggi Thorkelsson. Valenzuela is joining the investment banking unit of Barclays Bank from JP Morgan, where he was global co-head of equities distribution.
