NASDAQ OMX Finance Head To Quit

NASDAQ OMX’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of corporate strategy, Adena Friedman, is stepping down from her position.

NASDAQ OMX’s chief financial officer and executive vice president of corporate strategy, Adena Friedman, is stepping down from her position. She will join the Carlyle Group as managing director, chief financial officer and member of the operating committee, based in Washington, DC.

Former NASDAQ OMX chief financial officer, David Warren, has been appointed as special advisor to the CEO, while Ronald Hassen, senior vice president, controller and principal accounting officer will handle Friedman’s financial head responsibilities on an interim basis. Friedman, who assumed the role of chief financial officer in 2009 in addition to managing corporate strategy, has also served as head of Global Data Products, a $250 million business unit within NASDAQ OMX.
