RIM To Invest In BlackBerry VC Fund

Research In Motion is planning to invest in a new venture capital fund, BlackBerry Partners Fund II.

Research In Motion (RIM) is planning to invest in a new venture capital fund, BlackBerry Partners Fund II, Private Equity Hub reports. The $150 million fund is expected to be launched by June 2011. The new BlackBerry Partners Fund will focus solely on application developers and companies related to mobile computing. RIM will be an anchor investor and partner in the new fund.
