Poland is seeking to raise $1.8 billion through a debt issue.

Poland is seeking to raise $1.8 billion through a debt issue, Bloomberg reports. The government is planning to issue two year bonds, which are due to mature in January 2013.

The Finance Ministry decided to offer treasury bills, inflation-linked two-year bonds as opposed to issuing bonds due 2020 this month. Poland is planning to use the proceeds to help fund its budget deficit.
