Austrian investment house, Epic, will acquire a 93% stake in Ukraine’s state telephone company, Financial Times reports. The company will pay $1.3 billion to Ukrtelecom for the acquisition. Vienna-based Epic plans to complete the transaction by March. European telecom groups, including Deutsche Telekom and Norway’s Telenor, had previously shown interest in Ukrtelecom.
