SPVG To Reduce Gold Holdings

The Stichting Pensioenfonds Vereenigde Glasfabrieken has been asked to reduce its gold holdings.

The Stichting Pensioenfonds Vereenigde Glasfabrieken (SPVG) has been asked to reduce its gold holdings, Global Pensions reports. The Dutch regulator, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), has told the pension fund of glass manufacturer, Vereenigde Glasfabrieken, to reduce its gold allocation to less than 3%, adds IPE. According to DNB, the investment carried a concentration risk, which may lead to a coverage shortfall if the gold price increases. The pension fund presently has 13% gold allocation.
