Dutch, Spanish RMBS Stable, Irish Worsen In December

Performance of residential mortgage-backed securities in The Netherlands and Spain remained stable in December, while RMBS in Ireland continued to deteriorate, according to Moody’s Investors Service.

Performance of residential mortgage-backed securities in The Netherlands and Spain remained stable in December, while RMBS in Ireland continued to deteriorate, according to Moody’s Investors Service. In general, despite the stable performance, Moody’s expects Dutch delinquencies to continue to rise but at a slower pace. In Spain, cumulative defaults inched down from November, while in Ireland, the 90-plus day delinquency rate nearly doubled from a year earlier to 5.74% from 2.98%.
