World Bank Signs Partnership With Chile

World Bank Group’s board of directors have approved a new partnership strategy with Chile.

World Bank Group’s (WBG) board of directors have approved a new partnership strategy with Chile, The Financial reports. WBG, the private sector arm of WBG International Finance Corporation, and the Government of Chile, will cooperate in the Country Partnership Strategy (CPS).

The project, covering the next six years, will seek to modernize the state sector, create jobs and improve equity and promote sustainable investments. The government is targeting to eliminate poverty by 2014 and become a developed country by the end of this decade.
