Ingenious Ventures is launching a new EIS portfolio to offer investors an access to commercial wine trading, Financial Times reports. The new Vindemia fund has targeted a fund size worth £10 million and annual returns of 10.8%.
The portfolio will enable investors to utilize the best elements of wine as an asset class, while benefiting from the tax benefits of the enterprise investment scheme. The unit of Ingenious Media seeks to build a portfolio of companies trading in quality, undervalued and marketable fine wines from the producers of regions, including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italy and the New World.
