HSBC Workplace Retirement Services is launching a workplace pension scheme targeting small companies, Professional Pensions reports. It has teamed up with Towergate Financial to create the product.
The scheme will work as a simple, low cost, easy to administer alternative to the National Employment Savings Trust. It is intended for firms with less than 20 employees ahead of the introduction of auto-enrolment in 2012, adds IPE.
