Baillie Gifford To Soft-Close £1B EM Fund

Baillie Gifford will soft-close its emerging markets growth fund in April.

Baillie Gifford will soft-close its emerging markets growth fund in April, Money Marketing reports. The fund, which has raised £1 billion and is managed by Richard Sneller, will see the full initial charge of 5% applied for class A shares and 1% for class B shares. The move comes as the investment management firm is facing certain issues with the liquidity. The fund, which has already been shut for institutional investors for some time, will remain on platforms subject to the application of the full initial charge.
