General Electric is likely to make a $1.4 contribution to its GE Pension Plan in 2012.

General Electric (GE) is likely to make a $1.4 contribution to its GE Pension Plan in 2012, Pensions & Investments reports. The U.S. conglomerate will not contribute to its plan in 2011. The Connecticut-based company’s principal pension plans, which include the GE Pension Plan and the GE Supplementary Pension Plan, had $44.8 billion in assets as of end of last year. The principal pension plans were around 86.2% funded as of Dec. 31, 2010.
