The Attorney Generals of Massachusetts and Illinois are probing State Street’s currency trading dealings with state retirement systems.

The Attorney Generals of Massachusetts and Illinois are probing State Street’s currency trading dealings with state retirement systems, Reuters reports. The two have sought documents from the state of Washington, which recently reached a settlement with State Street. In October, Washington settled a dispute over foreign exchange practices and received $11.7 million from State Street. Bank of New York Mellon and State Street face lawsuits in California, Florida and Virginia over foreign exchange rates they charged state pension plans.
