PepsiCo is planning to make around $160 million pension contributions in 2011, Pensions & Investments reports. The U.S. beverage maker’s pension contributions this year are likely to have $15 million in discretionary contributions.

The New York-based company contributed $1.25 billion to its U.S. pension plans, while it made $215 million to its international pension plans last year. PepsiCo’s U.S. plans’ had a 61.4% allocation to equities, 36.9% to fixed income and 1.7% to cash and other investments.
