Resultant Capital Partners is launching its first fund with $20 million of internal money.

Resultant Capital Partners is launching its first fund with $20 million of internal money, Pensions & Investments reports. The Resultant Hedged Equity Fund is a long/short U.S. equity hedge fund of the firm, formed by former employees of Symphony Asset Management. The new portfolio will be launched on Feb. 8, 2011. Opened on January 1, Resultant Capital will manage institutional assets quantitatively using a concentrated long/short hedge fund and long-only U.S. equity strategy.
