Henderson Managers Quit Amid Funds Merger

Henderson Global Investors’ multi-managers, Mark Harris and Craig Heron, have resigned as part of the firm’s planned merger of its multi-manager funds.

Henderson Global Investors’ multi-managers, Mark Harris and Craig Heron, have resigned as part of the firm’s planned merger of its multi-manager funds, Financial Times reports. The tactical and balanced funds, previously run by Harris and Heron, will be merged into the active and managed funds run by the deputy head of equities, Bill McQuaker, who will also become the head of multi-manager.

The Henderson Cautious Portfolio Unit Trust, previously managed by Heron, which will merge into the Multi-manager Income and Growth portfolio, will also be managed by McQuaker. Three regional multi-manager funds, the Henderson American, Asia and European portfolios will be merged into equivalent regional non multi-manager funds run by Robert Villiers, Andrew Beal and Richard Pease.
